Allyson A. Webster

Allyson Webster is a partner of WILL DAVIDSON LLP practicing both as an insurance defence lawyer and as a mediator of primarily personal injury matters.

Allyson joined MRB three years after articling and practicing largely in the area of medical malpractice and insurance defence work with the firm of Gilbert, McGloan, Gillis in Saint John, New Brunswick. Allyson spent her first four years at WILL DAVIDSON LLP, working as a member of a specialized defence team for the HIV litigation in Ontario. A highlight of this litigation was her participation in a year long trial and subsequent appeal. Upon completion of that litigation Allyson has continued to practice insurance defence work and has experience with all steps in the conduct of litigation. Allyson has experience at all levels of the court in Ontario and New Brunswick and has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants over the course of her legal career.

Allyson was trained as a mediator in 2002 through both Osgoode Professional Development Centre and Stitt Feld Handy Group and was accepted as a roster mediator for the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program. Since that time Allyson’s mediation practice has grown tremendously. Over the past 8 years she has participated in hundreds of mediations involving numerous areas of law. The current focus of her mediation practice is personal injury cases.

Shortly after the ‘pilot project’ for mandatory mediation came into existence in Ontario, WILL DAVIDSON has been offering mediation services through Allyson Webster.
