Jim Davidson
Jim Davidson is a partner at WILL DAVIDSON LLP and head of the firm’s Insurance Defence practice group.
Jim’s main goal in every lawsuit is to try and settle the case early and on terms that are fair to everyone involved. However, when a fair settlement cannot be reached, Jim is more than willing to take the case to trial. In this regard, Jim has represented both individual and insurance clients as lead counsel in numerous jury and non-jury trials.
Jim believes that his client’s needs are best served by developing a strong working relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Many of Jim’s clients have been with him since he became a lawyer in 1993.
Jim has a Masters of Law in dispute resolution from the University of Sydney Australia. He is frequently asked to speak at legal conferences in the area of insurance law and has written a number of articles for legal and insurance related publications. Jim is currently a director of Canadian Defence Lawyers and a member of the Advocates’ Society as well as a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
When not in the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
