Gary Will – Gary is the Managing Partner of Will Davidson LLP. He has been recognized as one of Canada’s premier legal experts in the practice of personal injury litigation and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in Civil Litigation. Gary Will has a busy practice acting for individuals suffering serious personal injuries or for the families of individuals suffering fatal injuries. He has extensive experience in the areas of personal injury law, products liability, professional negligence, insurance, environmental, bad faith, and class action litigation. Gary has a practice built on referrals from other lawyers throughout Canada.
David Morin – David is a Founding Partner with Will Davidson LLP and works out of the Huntsville office. In addition to a challenging litigation practice, David has been privileged to hold many external titles: Former President of the Muskoka Law Association, Chair of the Ontario Bar Association Audit Committee, as well as Chair of the Paralegal Regulation Sub-Committee for the Ontario Bar Association. David’s practice focuses on civil litigation particularly, personal injury, product liability, municipal liability, and professional negligence claims. David also quarterback’s complex property loss subrogation claims on behalf of insurers, stemming from significant building envelope (construction) failures.
Peter Boeckle – Peter became a partner in 1975 and was the Managing Partner of the firm from 1988 to 2000. Peter has been Counsel to the firm since 2006. In 2010, Peter celebrated 40 years of practicing law. Peter is still retained on high profile class actions, most recently when an outbreak of e. Coli struck a Harvey’s Franchise in North Bay, Peter was retained to defend the franchise from the claims of the injured patrons.
Jim Davidson – Jim is a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation and head of the firm’s Insurance Defence group. Jim’s practice is unique in that he represents both insurance companies and individual clients in a variety of insurance-related areas including, personal injury, property losses, and subrogated claims. Jim has represented individual and insurance clients as lead counsel in numerous jury and non-jury trials. He is an extremely experienced negotiator and is regularly retained by some of Canada’s leading insurers to resolve complex and multi-party disputes.
Paul Cahill – Paul has been a partner with Will Davidson LLP since 2011, having started at the firm as an articling student in 2004. Paul helps seriously injured people obtain fair compensation for their losses, whether it be by medical malpractice, car accident, slip and fall, or a product failure. Paul also assists people with first-party insurance claims for disability benefits. He has successfully litigated both jury and non-jury cases in the Superior Court of Justice. He has appeared at both the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. He has represented clients at administrative boards and tribunals, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, the Health Professions Review and Appeal Board, and the CPP Review Tribunal.
Gordon Marsden – Gord has developed a broad-based practice in civil and commercial litigation. He has assisted senior counsel in conducting trials (and conducted his own trials) in actions arising from personal injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice as well as contract disputes. He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. Additionally, Gordon has accrued significant experience in defending claims of professional negligence against engineers, insurance brokers, financial advisors, home inspectors, police officers and medical professionals as well as acting in actions arising from product liability and property damage.
