WILL DAVIDSON LLP INVESTIGATES COVID-19 DEATHS AT LUNDY MANOR RETIREMENT RESIDENCE
There have now been 15 deaths related to COVID-19 at Lundy Manor in Niagara Falls, Ontario. In addition, as of April 21, 2020 forty residents had tested positive for the virus.
At this point it appears that Lundy Manor did not take the necessary precautions or follow Government guidelines to protect its residents. In fact, an employee of Lundy Manor has been quoted as saying, “I could see there was a big problem with people sick, not isolating.” In addition, this employee opined that, “Lundy Manor was a time bomb.”
Lundy Manor also had a pub night on March 28, 2020 and when brought to Premier Ford’s attention his first response was, “you gotta be kidding me.”
Unfortunately, there will likely be more deaths due to COVID-19 at Lundy Manor owned by Oxford Living and our team at Will Davidson are investigating this matter with a view to protecting the rights of residents and families of residents that have passed away unnecessarily due to COVID- 19.
